Goal #1: In this semester I hope to learn how to draft and revise.
Method: I often forget to read my writings once more after I finish writing it, so get many grammar mistakes or spelling errors. To get rid of the mistakes, I will review my writings many times to ensure that content and linguistic structures are consistent with purpose.

Goal #2: I’ll try to use precise and descriptive language that clarifies and enhances ideas and supports different purposes.
Method: I want to work on expressing my ideas suitably because if I express my ideas wrong, the meaning of my essays would be totally different from the one I was expecting.

Goal #3: I will try to use conventions of spelling in written compositions.
Method: Even though I know the spelling of the word, I could spell it wrong by a mistake. So for that I think I should get used to double checking so I can reduce my spelling errors. If I’m not sure of the spelling of a word, I will use a dictionary and other resources to check the spelling.

Goal #4: I’ll try to use a variety of print and electronic sources to gather information for research topics.
Method: If I only use one source to get my information, the data I can get is restricted, so my essay won’t come out as the best as it could. So this semester instead of using one source to get my data because it is comfortable, I will try to use all kinds of sources I can use to get the best essay as I could.

Goal #5: I will work on my word choices.
Method: I think choosing the right word for the right purpose is very important, because it clarifies and enhances my ideas much more than not caring for it. I usually use easy and similar words so I’ll try this semester to use different and exact words in need.
